Glen Hansard Calls 'Once' a 'Gift,' but Don't Count on Sequel

Glen Hansard surprised the audience attending the Aug. 8 performance of the stage version of "Once" at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood, joining the cast of the musical for an impromptu performance of a classic Irish song, “The Auld Triangle.”

Hansard and Marketa Irglova wrote the music for the 2006 film "Once," winning an Oscar for the song "Falling Slowly." The stage version made its Broadway debut in 2012 and won eight Tony Awards.

Prior to opening curtain, Hansard mingled with cast members and posed for photos at a reception Fox Searchlight hosted to celebrate the film’s recent release on Blu-ray.
