The free Seattle concert for more 2,500 employees was also cybercaset via the company's Web site.
Jones paused once during her performance to say, "This is the part where we usually do a Bob Dylan song... But don't worry, we won't, because we're too scared to do that."
Instead, she and Dylan sang a duet of "I Shall Be Released," a track dating from Dylan's late-1960s "Basement Tapes" sessions with the Band.
Amazon.com's Show of Thanks event was aimed at showcasing Amazon's success at becoming the Internet's biggest retailer, unlike other unlucky companies that died along with the bursting of the technology bubble five years ago.
Amazon said that Jones' performance will be her "first and only show in 2005." Dylan, meanwhile, recently wrapped a set of dates with Willie Nelson and will open a new slate of North American shows tonight (July 18) in Victoria, British Columbia.
