Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead performs on stage with the London Contemporary Orchestra at The Roundhouse on July 28, 2014 in London, United Kingdom.

Radiohead fans will have to wait until September for the band to even begin work on their ninth album, but in the meantime, Jonny Greenwood is here with a brand-new song.

Backed by an orchestra in London on Monday night, Greenwood debuted an instrumental piece called "Skip Loop." It's a soothing piece of music -- a far cry from the frenetic "Loop" instrumental (also below) he debuted earlier this year -- and a lovely complement to his work on soundtracks to films like There Will Be Blood and The Master.

Watch both below and ponder whether these sounds will work their way into Radiohead's next album.
