Perhaps looking to put the "Sad Jack White" meme to rest, White was on hand at Tuesday's Detroit Tigers game to throw out the first pitch. And guess what? He looked really happy doing it!

8 Reasons Jack White Is So Sad at the Chicago Cubs Game

As the White Stripes' "Icky Thump" played from the Comerica Park soundsystem, White fired the first pitch to a catcher dressed as Santa Claus (apparently the ballpark was having a "Christmas in July" special). The pitch was a little low and away, but given some of the terrible pitches musicians have thrown recently, White's arm looked just fine. And he earned bonus points for rocking a retro grey Detroit jersey with a catching pink trim.

Sadly for the hometown Tigers, they still lost to the Chicago White Sox, 11-4.

White is currently on tour supporting this year's Billboard 200-topping album Lazaretto. He'll play Detroit's Masonic Temple Theatre Wednesday night -- the same Masonic Temple he helped save from foreclosure last year.
