Windham Hill Celebrates 'Night Before' Xmas

Windham Hill will release its latest seasonal compilation, "The Night Before Christmas," on Oct. 4. The 14-track set features new recordings from such enduring label acts as George Winston, Philip Aaberg, Jim Brickman, Alex DeGrassi, Barbara Higbie and Windham Hill founder Will Ackerman.

The label's 2004 compilation, "I'll Be Home for Christmas," reached No. 2 on Billboard's Top New Age Albums chart and No. 23 on the Top Holiday Albums tally. The set featured tracks from Winston, Brickman, Aaberg and Liz Story.

Meanwhile, although the full itinerary has not yet been unveiled, the label's annual Winter Solstice Tour has begun confirming select dates. The Darol Anger/Mike Marshal Duo will team with Tuck & Patti for six shows, beginning Dec. 2 in Elgin, Ill.
