RichardCooking Vinyl USA is rushing to release Richard Thompson's score to the film "Grizzly Man" following the film's welcome reception last weekend in limited release. The documentary about outdoorsman Timothy Treadwell premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize for a film on science and technology. The label hopes to have the soundtrack album in stores early next month.

The news comes on the heels of the No. 22 debut of Thompson's latest album, "Front Parlour Ballads" on this week's Billboard Top Independent Albums chart. As previously reported, it is one of several Thompson releases in 2005, which include live DVDs stemming from PBS' "Austin City Limits" and his own "1,000 Years of Popular Music" performances, as well as a five-disc box set through the independent Free Reed label.
