Shakira's fans have helped the singer gain a new achievement. She is the first person to ever reach 100 million likes on Facebook.

The record-breaking number of likes comes just months she was named the most-liked musician on Facebook back in March. At the time, she had 86.3 million likes, narrowly beating out Rihanna. To celebrate the milestone, the singer posted a video thanking her fans for helping her get so much love on the social networking site.

“That is incredible,” she said in the video message on Friday (July 18). “Thank you so much for your support, for your loyalty, for your love. It’s really unbelievable. Thank you so much.”

Additionally, she also posted a video that included some of her greatest moments since she joined Facebook. The video ended included a handwritten note from the Grammy-winning pop star.

"100 million friends on Facebook! Thank you so much for joining me and propelling me on this incredible journey," she wrote. "I couldn't do it with you all!"

As of press time, Shakira had 100,240,487 likes.  "I am honored and humbled about reaching this milestone," Shakira added in a statement, according to People. "Social media and specifically Facebook has helped myself and other artists bridge the gap between the stage and the audience."

And, she wasn't the only person excited about the honor. Facebook CEO and founder, Mark Zuckerberg, also sent her some love on Facebook. "Congrats!" he commented on her page. "What an amazing milestone for an amazing person."
