A 17-date run of fall solo shows is on tap for Bruce Springsteen, continuing his roadwork in support of his latest album, the spare and pensive "Devils & Dust." The new leg will kick off as Oct. 6 in Rochester, N.Y.
The majority of the shows are in the east, with the only Midwest stops coming in Minneapolis (Oct. 12), Chicago (Oct. 13) and Madison, Wis. (Oct. 15). The outing will wrap with a trio of shows in Springsteen's home state of New Jersey: Atlantic City (Nov. 13), E. Rutherford, (Nov. 16) and Trenton (Nov. 21).
From its beginnings in Detroit in April, this tour has evolved greatly. The artist has consistently changed up the set list and reinvented dozens of songs from his more than three-decade career.
"We're coming back to some of our favorite cities to make sure the fans get a chance to see how this tour has evolved over the course of the last 50 shows," Springsteen's manager Jon Landau says. "Bruce just keeps stretching the boundaries of his performance night after night, and the result has been some of the very best concerts of his entire career."
Released in late April, "Devils & Dust" debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200. The Columbia set has sold nearly 555,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
