Multi-Network Broadcast To Benefit Katrina Victims

Sheryl Crow, Foo Fighters, Kanye West, Randy Newman and Neil Young are also confirmed to perform.
Celebrities Jennifer Aniston, Jack Black, Cameron Diaz, Ellen DeGeneres, Morgan Freeman, Jack Nicholson, Chris Rock, Ray Romano and Sela Ward will also participate.
Mirroring a similar effort in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States, the event will air live on all six major television broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, the WB and UPN), as well as a host of cable and satellite channels in the United States.
ABC Radio's major market outlets and Infinity Radio stations will also air the special. Online it will be accessible via CBS and Fox Web sites, as well as AOL.com, Real.com and Yahoo!
Internationally, the special will air in at least 95 countries.
Performances will take place at Los Angeles' Sony Pictures Studio Lot and New York's Sony Studios. The broadcast networks will air the event live at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT, with tape-delayed primetime airings planned in the Mountain and Pacific time zones.
Details of how donations will be collected and through what organization they will be channeled have not been released. The special is being executive-produced by Joel Gallen, who produced the September 2001 "America: A Tribute to Heroes" telethon.
Keys is also slated to take part in Friday's "S.O.S. (Saving Ourselves): The BET Relief Telethon," which will air beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET on the music channel. Among those on board are Jay-Z, Diddy, Master P, Omarion, Stevie Wonder, Baby, Lil Wayne, David Banner, Juvenile, Wynton Marsalis, Ciara, Ludacris, Pharrell Williams, Avant, Wyclef, Twista, Lyfe, Brandy, Erykah Badu, Gerald Levert and Nick Cannon.
Viewers of that show will be encouraged to donate to the American Red Cross.
