Bruce Springsteen and his documentarian Thom Zimny shot a 10-minute film for "Hunter of Invisible Game" that was posted at www.brucespringsteen.net Wednesday (July 9).

With nearly six minutes of Springsteen-composed score added to the track from his most recent album, "High Hopes," the short film's silent first half uses the lyrics as a narrative base. A ditch, a scarecrow, rain, the sharpening of a blade lead into "a kingdom of love waiting to be reclaimed," in this case a family reunion.

Springsteen, fresh off 170 shows on their two-year world tour, offered a fan appreciation note.

"Thanks to you," he writes, "we have dwelled deep within the transformative power of rock n' roll. You've helped us bring a new and revitalized E St. Band into being. We take this break with a sense of joy, renewed purpose and filled with the spirit to bring you our best in the future. We've still got a few surprises for you."
