Pop/punk outfit Yellowcard has christened its new album "Lights and Sounds" and will release the set Jan. 24 via Capitol. As previously reported, the title track will premiere today (Sept. 13) in the Electronic Arts video game "Burnout Revenge." The cut will be available Oct. 24 from digital download retailers, the same day a free live version will hit the band's Web site.

"Lights and Sounds" will be the follow-up to 2004's "Ocean Avenue," which peaked at No. 23 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 1.6 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The group is in the midst of a 13-date Canadian tour, which runs through Sept. 25 in Vancouver. A new round of dates will get underway Oct. 24 in Austin, Texas, and keep Yellowcard on the road through Dec. 1 in Anaheim, Calif.
