Sia, Michael Stipe, Demi Lovato, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Pete Wentz are the latest confirmed appearances for "Trailblazers," a Logo TV special set to tape Monday, June 23 in New York City and air Thursday June 26 at 9 p.m. EST/PT to commemorate the one-year anniversary of when the Defense of Marriage Act was over-ruled.
Sia will join A Great Big World as one of two confirmed musical guests, singing her rising hit “Chandelier” alongside the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus. Given the reclusive singer’s recent “performances” of the song alongside Lena Dunham on “Late Night With Seth Myers” and "Dance Moms" star Maddie Ziegler on "Ellen," expect an equally memorable spectacle.
The "Trailblazers" event will honor activist Edie Windsor, DOMA litigator Roberta Kaplan, NBA star Jason Collins and Netflix hit series "Orange Is The New Black" (including stars Laverne Cox and Lea DaLaria) for their efforts in advancing the LGBT community. Former R.E.M. singer Stipe will also appear to honor Ugandan gay rights activist and refugee John "Long Jones" Abdallah Wambere as an "International Trailblazer" for his work with Spectrum Uganda Initiatives, which advocates for LGBT rights and provides health and education services
Additional stars set to present or make special apperances include Daniel Radcliffe, Jared Leto, Kylie Minogue, Ariana Grande, Rita Ora, Tegan & Sara and Against Me! frontwoman Laura Jane Grace.
