Against Me! singer/songwriter Laura Jane Grace and Tegan and Sara are among the artists confirmed to appear on Logo TV’s "Trailblazers" special, an hour-long program that honors pioneers in the fight for LGBT rights.
Brooklyn Nets’ basketballer Jason Collins -- the first male publicly gay athlete in a major American sport -- and the groundbreaking series “Orange Is the New Black” will be honored during the June 26 special.
They join previously announced “Trailblazers” honorees Edie Windsor and Roberta Kaplan, the civil rights activists who defeated DOMA and paved the way for gay marriage.
The annual “Trailblazers” event be beamed at 9pm ET from New York’s Cathedral of St. John the Divine. It's timed to coincide with a most historic week of gay rights – the 45th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, and the one-year anniversary to the day of DOMA being overruled.
The likes of Jared Leto, Kylie Minogue, Ariana Grande and Rita Ora are among the growing list of celebrity confirmed to appear on "Trailblazers," while A Great Big World will perform on the night. Additional honorees, performers and presenters will be announced shortly.
