Backed by an organist and bass player, the Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney kicked off their third "SNL" appearance with the hypnotic new single “Fever” and finished with a dimly lit delivery of the soaring “Bullet In the Brain.” Check out the performances below.

Next up, the Black Keys will appear on “Late Show With David Letterman” on May 12. From there, the group will play the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Ala., on May 16 before visiting Europe for more festival dates through July. The Black Keys return to North America in September for an arena tour that runs through December.

Next week’s “SNL” season finale will feature comedian Andy Samberg returning home for hosting duties and St. Vincent as the musical guest.
