Miley Cyrus Cancels Dates With Nashville, Louisville Following Allergic Reaction
Miley Cyrus is postponing more concerts as she remains in a hospital for a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics. A representative says the singer won't perform in Nashville, Tennessee, on Friday and Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday. Those concerts will be rescheduled.
Cyrus suffered from a sinus infection last week during her "Bangerz" tour. Her rep says she had "an extreme allergic reaction" to the antibiotic cephalexin. The singer took to Twitter on Thursday to dispel various rumors, including one that suggested she may be pregnant.
"So many ignorant stories out there no one is reading the official statement and these dumb asses are scaring my fans," she said. "Shut the fuck up and let me heal."
Official Statement: "Miley was suffering from a sinus infection during her tour in N.C. a week ago. She was prescribed the antibiotic Cephalexin which she has now suffered an extreme allergic reaction to. This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases. She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor's care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time. Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans."
This week, Cyrus also canceled concerts in St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri. She postponed a show in Charlotte, North Carolina, last week because of the flu.
The 21-year-old "Wrecking Ball" singer's next scheduled tour date is Monday in Philadelphia.
