Justin Bieber a No-Show at Toronto Court Hearing on Assault Charge
The pop star was represented by his lawyer at the Old City Hall courthouse to answer for an incident with a limo driver on Dec. 30, 2013
Justin Bieber on Monday skipped the latest hearing at the Old City Hall courthouse in Toronto into a recent assault charge.
The Toronto Star newspaper reports the pop star's lawyers received disclosure evidence from crown prosecutors before the case was scheduled to return to court on May 12.
Bieber is charged with assaulting a limo driver, Abdul Mohar, on December 30, 2013, after leaving a Toronto nightclub.
The Canadian pop star, who comes from nearby Stratford, Ontario, skipped his first Toronto court appearance in March after being officially charged here on January 29, 2014.
Bieber in January drew a media circus to a downtown Toronto police station when he surrendered in connection with the assault charge.
