Daryl Hall's 'House' TV Show Gets Renewed
Daryl Hall has yet another reason to celebrate aside from the induction of Hall and Oates into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tomorrow night.
His critically acclaimed, award-winning performance series "Live from Daryl’s House" has renewed its agreement with Viacom Media Networks’ high-definition music channel Palladia, with production on the new season to commence this fall. The show now tapes from "Daryl’s House” in Pawling, N.Y., a combination concert venue and restaurant Hall has been restoring. The new shows will premiere in early 2015 on Palladia, in the VH1 app and www.lfdh.com, where previous installments are archived. This past season Hall’s guests included ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, Amos Lee, Gavin DeGraw, Johnnyswim and Brett Dennen.
"Palladia understands what my show is about and I look forward to my continued relationship with them," said Hall.
The show is a joint venture between Hall’s Good Cop Bad Cop Productions and Palladia. Executive producers for the show include Hall along with Daryl Hall and John Oates manager Jonathan Wolfson. Guests for the upcoming season will be announced later in the year.
"I truly value LFDH's alliance with Palladia and I'm thankful for the renewal. The Palladia team – Ben Zurier, Tom Feie and Rick Krim – are the definition of true partners," said Wolfson.
"Renewing Live From Daryl’s House is a no-brainer for Palladia,” said VH1/Palladia evp talent and music programming Rick Krim. "Our viewers’ response has been overwhelmingly positive to this season, which captured the unexpected magic that can happen when talented artists relax and create music together. We’re proud to work with Daryl and Jonathan on this show.”
The deal was brokered by Wolfson and Zurier, evp, programming strategy for VH1, VH1 Classic and Palladia.
