Eminem and Rihanna's latest collaboration, "The Monster," spent four weeks atop the Hot 100 chart, yet the pair has yet to perform the smash single live. That will change on Sunday night (Apr. 13), when Em and Rih combine for the first live performance of "The Monster" at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards.
The joint performance rounds out a lineup that also includes Ellie Goulding and Zedd combining for a medley of "Beating Heart" and "Find You," as well as twenty one pilots taking the stage with their single "Car Radio." Conan O'Brien will host this year's MTV Movie Awards, which will take place at Los Angeles' Nokia Theater beginning at 9:00 pm ET.
While "The Monster" has been Eminem's most successful single to date, the veteran rapper is moving on to "Headlights," which features fun. frontman Nate Ruess. Last weekend, Em revealed that he is working with Spike Lee on the "Headlights" music video.
The upcoming performance of "The Monster" will serve as an early preview of Eminem and Rihanna's co-headlining summer stadium tour (dubbed The Monster tour) that was announced earlier this year. The tour kicks off in Los Angeles on Aug. 7, and will also visit New York and Detroit.
The last time Eminem and Rihanna joined forces for an MTV awards show performance, it was in 2010, when the duo performed another No. 1 single, "Love The Way You Lie," at the MTV Video Music Awards. Relive that performance below:
