On Sunday night (Mar. 23), Dave Brockie, better known as Oderus Urungus to the many legions of Gwar fans, was found dead at the age of 50. Brockie leaves behind a towering legacy as the leader of the horror-obsessed metal group, and the last original member of the otherworldly group, which touched down on planet Earth in 1984.

As all fans know, Oderus Urungus and the rest of Gwar was defined by its visual presentation more than its discography (although its 13 studio albums are nothing to sneeze at, of course). The outlandish costumes, insanely graphic videos and onstage executions of celebrity impersonators will always be associated with Urungus and the rest of the Scumdogs of the Universe.

In honor of Brockie's passing, check out Gwar's most outrageous music videos... and one particularly gruesome live performance moment.
