Justin Timberlake’s "20/20 Experience" world tour will make a stop in Australia later this year for a string of stadium and arena dates.
The R&B/pop star’s blockbuster trek will visit each of the country’s five big cities, starting Sept. 18 at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium, and taking-in shows in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth. The itinerary leaves a lot of room to add extra dates should tickets prove to be popular.
The general on-sale starts March 7, promoters Live Nation announced. Though a pre-sale window will open earlier for members of Timberlake’s Tennessee Kids fanclub.
Timberlake’s Australian dates will be his first here since he crossed the country back in 2007 for the “FutureSex/LoveSounds" tour.
The two-part “20/20 Experience” album was a double-hit Down Under. The first part opened at No. 1 on the ARIA albums chart on its release in March 2013, and the second-part bowed at No. 4 in October. The singer’s “FutureSex/LoveSounds” album gave him his first No. 1 in Australia back in 2006.
Timberlake is the latest in a swelling list of big-name internationals acts to announce Australian touring plans. In recent weeks, the likes of Kanye West, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Robbie Williams have posted 2014 itineraries for these parts.
