Blondie is the fan favorite among the recently inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of 2006. The New York-based rock act pulled in 46% of 1,483 votes in a Billboard.com poll, putting it miles ahead of stalwart Southern rock act Lynyrd Skynyrd, who ranked second with 19% of the tally.

Pioneering heavy metal act Black Sabbath ranked third with 16% of the vote, followed by jazz great Miles Davis (11%) and, in last place, iconic punk group the Sex Pistols (8%)
