Hoobastank is cooking up a two-week tour featuring free shows in small clubs, ahead of the May 16 release of its third Island album, "Every Man for Himself." The outing will begin April 11 in Boston and run through April 27 in Houston.

Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis through the band's Web site and via radio and retail partners in each market. A local band will be selected to open each show via a Purevolume.com contest.

"Every Man for Himself" is led by the single "If I Were You," which is No. 25 this week on Billboard's Modern Rock chart. Hoobastank will perform the track on a variety of TV shows, including "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno (May 12), "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (May 18) and "Last Call With Carson Daly" (May 25).
