Prefuse 73 will embark on spring tour with Boston rapper Edan beginning April 21 at SUNY-Purchase's Culture Shock festival. Dates are on tap through June 2 in Philadelphia. Rapper Lyrics Born will join the bill for a May 18 show in Portland, Ore.

Prefuse mainman Scott Herren will spin a DJ set tonight (April 4) at APT in New York to celebrate the release of Hefty Records' double-disc set "Hefty 10 Digest." As previously reported, Herren's fingerprints are all over the release, in the form of remixes and rare versions.

Herren will return to the studio after the tour to continue work on his next album, which he will likely release in 2007. His last set, "Security Screenings," was released in early February and reached No. 21 spot on Billboard's Top Electronic Albums chart.
