Band continues to tour behind No. 2-peaking "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here"
To continue to commemorate the release of "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here," its No. 2-peaking 2013 studio album, Seattle rockers Alice in Chains will embark on an extensive U.S. tour throughout part of April and most of May.
According to Radio.com, the quartet will tour behind its fifth LP beginning April 25 in Tulsa, Okla. Currently, 21 dates in all are announced, with stops stretching from Texas to New York -- including multiple dates at various casinos.
The newest leg of the tour will wrap nearly a month after its start, with a final set May 24 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
"The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here," which spawned two Mainstream Rock No. 1 songs in "Hollow" and "Stone," sold 61,000 copies in its first week last May to debut at No. 2 -- the band's highest chart placement since 1995's self-titled effort.
The album was nominated for a GRAMMY in the field of Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, but lost to Daft Punk's eventual Album of the Year winner "Random Access Memories."
