Kiss, Queen, Def Leppard and Judas Priest will be saluted at the first VH1 "Rock Honors," which will be taped May 25 at Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay and broadcast six days later on the music channel. The show will feature performances by the four aforementioned acts and a host of other artists and presenters to be announced.

Tickets go on sale April 22 via Ticketmaster. The rock honors complement VH1's annual "Hip-Hop Honors," the third edition of which will air in October.

Having been off the road while guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley recovered from hip replacement surgery, Kiss is returning to live duty for four summer shows in Japan: July 18 in Nagoya, July 20 in Fukuoka, July 22 in Tokyo and the next night in Osaka.

As previously reported, Def Leppard will on May 23 release a covers album, "Yeah!," and will tour this summer with Journey. Judas Priest is about to get moving on a new studio album, and the reconfigured version of Queen featuring Paul Rodgers is winding down a North American tour.
