In a first, Ben Harper will serve as the musical guest for an entire week's worth of "Last Call With Carson Daly." Harper will tape his performances next week in New York; they will air May 2-5 on NBC. A limited amount of tickets for the tapings can be secured via Harper's Web site.

Meanwhile, the artist has tacked on an 11-date October tour of France to his previously announced itinerary, which begins tonight (April 19) at Jack Johnson's Kokua Festival in Hawaii and will run through Sept. 15 in Atlanta. Damian Marley will support on the North American dates.

Harper is touring in support of his new double-disc Virgin album "Both Sides of the Gun," which debuted last month at No. 7 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 126,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
