Atlantic Records' soul pioneers of the 1960s and 1970s will be in the spotlight on two single-disc compilations due June 6 from Rhino. "Atlantic Unearthed: Soul Sisters" and "Atlantic Unearthed: Soul Brothers" feature remastered and previously unreleased singles from label titans like Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Wilson Pickett and Otis Redding. The sets also uncover rare tracks from lesser-known artists like Judy Clay and Arthur Conley.

Franklin's take on "My Way," originally recorded in 1970 for an Italian compilation, makes its U.S. debut on the "Soul Sisters" disc. Margie Joseph's cover of the Temptations' "It's Growing" and a cover of Fontella Bass' "Rescue Me" by Dee Dee Warwick (Dionne Warwick's sister) are both previously unreleased.

The late Wilson Pickett's "Can't Stop a Man in Love," said to be one of his few remaining never-before-released studio cuts, opens the "Soul Brothers" set. Percy Sledge's cover of Aretha Franklin's hit "Baby, Baby, Baby," Arthur Conley's "Rome (Wasn't Built in a Day)" and Donny Hathaway's "What a Woman Really Means" round out the album's unreleased gems.
