Adult contemporary staple Jim Brickman has signed a new deal with SLG Records, a division of the Savoy Label Group. The artist's future releases will be issued on his own Brickman Music Group imprint, beginning with a new album of both solo piano and vocal tracks, "Escape," which will arrive in October.
With the exception of a 2005 album featuring Disney film music released by Walt Disney Records, Brickman has spent his entire career recording with Windham Hill. He has sold 4.5 million albums in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The artist's Windham Hill tenure is chronicled on the upcoming compilation "Pure Jim Brickman," which hits stores May 23.
Brickman is winding down his latest round of touring and has only two shows on his summer schedule: July 22 in Atlanta and Aug. 27 in Montalvo, Calif. Early next year, he will lead his annual Valentine Cruise, which sets sail Jan. 27 from Port Canaveral, Fla.
