Canadian vocalist Daniel Powter will be headed to U.S. stages following his current European trek. The U.S. leg of Powter's tour kicks off July 17 at Philadelphia's Theatre Of The Living Arts, with stops in New York, Boston, Chicago and Seattle, among other major cities.
The tour winds up Aug. 4-5 at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles. It comes in support of Powter's 2005 self-titled Warner Bros. debut, which bowed at No. 9 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 300,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Lead single "Bad Day" topped the Billboard Hot 100 for five straight weeks and was used as the contestant farewell theme on Fox's "American Idol." Powter performed the tune on the show's season finale last week.
