In addition to a score by Randy Newman, the Walt Disney Records soundtrack for the Disney/Pixar film "Cars" boasts new songs by Brad Paisley, Sheryl Crow and James Taylor, who performs the Newman-penned, "Our Town." The album is due this week; the film arrives this weekend in U.S. theaters.

Paisley wrote and recorded the songs "Behind the Clouds" and "Find Yourself" for the soundtrack, while Crow adds "Real Gone," a song she co-wrote with John Shanks.

As for covers, Rascal Flatts tackles the hit "Life Is a Highway," which Tom Cochrane took to No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1992. John Mayer performs the Bobby Troup classic "Route 66," which can be heard in one of the film's trailers on Pixar's Web site. A vintage Chuck Berry version of the song is also included on the soundtrack.

Eleven cuts on the 20-track set are Newman's score, with the balance rounded out by the Chords' "Sh-Boom" and Hank Williams' "My Heart Would Know." "Cars" features the voice talents of Owen Wilson, Bonnie Hunt, Cheech Marin, Paul Newman, Bob Costas, John Ratzenberger and Larry the Cable Guy.
