Air, Pulp's Jarvis Cocker and producer Nigel Godrich are among the artists contributing to French actress/singer Charlotte's Gainsbourg's new album, "5:55." The project is due Aug. 28 in Europe and Sept. 4 in the United Kingdom; no North American release date has yet been announced.

In addition to lyrics by Cocker and the Divine Comedy's Neil Hannon, "5:55" sports string arrangements from Beck's father, David Campbell.

Gainsbourg has recorded sporadically since her 1986 debut album "Charlotte Forever," released when she was a teenager. She was most recently featured as a vocalist on Badly Drawn Boy's 2002 album "Have You Fed the Fish?"

Cocker also appears on a tribute to Charlotte's late father Serge, "Monsieur Gainsbourg Revisited," due June 20 via Verve. Among the other artists on the set are Franz Ferdinand, Feist, Marc Almond and Cat Power.
