Canadian electronica-leaning outfit Junior Boys is eyeing a September release for its second album, "So This Is Goodbye." The 10-track set will be preceded next month by the single "In the Morning," a collaboration with Mouse On Mars' Andi Toma. Remixes have already been completed by Morgan Geist and Alex Smoke.

"So This Is Goodbye" is the follow-up to 2004's "Last Exit," which conjured a sound group member Jeremy Greenspan previously described to Billboard.com as "cold disco." While working on the new material, he said the duo tried "to strip things down a bit. I'm trying to shed any part of our sound that is too highly edited, as I think that approach will become dated quickly."

New album track "Like a Child" can be streamed from the group's Myspace.com site. Other highlights include the maudlin, Simply Red-esque "Count Souvenirs," the icy digital funk of the title cut and the gurgling beats and whispered intonations of opener "Double Shadow."

Junior Boys will be on the road later this year in support of "So This Is Goodbye" but dates have yet to be announced.

Here is the track list for "So This Is Goodbye":

"Double Shadow"
"The Equalizer"
"First Time"
"Count Souvenirs"
"In the Morning"
"So This Is Goodbye"
"Like a Child"
"Caught in a Wave"
"When No One Cares"
"FM"
