Rita Ora's next foray into the entertainment market won't come as a singer; rather, she'll be appearing on the silver screen.
The British musician has been cast in the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey," The Hollywood Reporter reports. She'll play Mia, the adopted younger sister of main character Christian Grey.
Ora does have some acting chops, having appeared in the films "Spivs" and "Fast & Furious 6." She's also been the face of Madonna's Material Girl fashion line since earlier this year. Her work in fashion will continue into 2014, where she'll become acquainted with cosmetics brand Rimmel.
The singer is best known stateside for the single "How We Do (Party)," which peaked at No. 62 on the Hot 100 last year. Debut album "Ora" spawned two No. 1 singles in her native U.K., also including the Tinie Tempah-featuring "R.I.P."
"Fifty Shades of Grey," based on the best-selling novel of the same name, is currently scheduled for a Feb. 13, 2015, release.
