Sigur Ros will release a new CD/DVD, "Saeglopur," Aug. 8 via the Worker's Institute in partnership with the band's own Krunk imprint and Filter US Recordings. The four-track audio disc is led by its title cut (which is drawn from the 2005 album "Takk") and also features the brand new songs "Refur," "O Fridur" and "Kafari." The DVD portion rounds up videos for "Saeglopur," "Glosoli" and "Hoppipolla."

Sigur Ros is in the midst of a summer European tour, which will wrap with a free July 30 show at Klambratun Park in downtown Reykjavík. The concert will be simulcast to the National Film Theatre in London.

The Blood Brothers will return on Oct. 10 with their fifth album, "Young Machetes." The V2 set is the follow-up to 2004's "Crimes," which debuted at No. 6 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and has sold 92,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"Young Machetes" was produced by Fugazi's Guy Piccioto and John Goodmanson. The album will feature such songs as "Rat Rider," "The Giant Swan," "Lazer Life," "We Ride Skeletal Lightning" and "Sire Fire to the Face on Fire."

The group is planning a fall tour, but for now the lone confirmed date on its schedule is a Sept. 2 appearance at Seattle's Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival.

Journey vocalist Steve Augeri has been forced to take a hiatus from the band's summer tour with Def Leppard while he battles a throat infection. He will be replaced beginning tomorrow (July 7) in Bristow, Va., by Jeff Scott Soto, a veteran of Yngwie Malmsteen's group. It is unknown if Augeri will be able to rejoin the tour later this summer.

As previously reported, the vintage Journey albums "Infinity," "Evolution," "Departure," "Escape" and "Greatest Hits" will be reissued Aug. 1 via Columbia/Legacy.
