News on A Tribe Called Quest, Electronic, Bermuda Music Festival

After a previously announced stop at Seattle's Bumbershoot festival, the on again/off again A Tribe Called Quest reunion will roll on to several additional North American cities as part of the 2K Sports Bounce tour. So far, dates are set for Sept. 15 in Chicago, Sept. 16 in Milwaukee, Sept. 17 in Toronto, Sept. 24 in Orlando, Fla., and Oct. 1 in Sayreville, N.J.

At each stop, fans will be able to compete against each other in the new video game "2K Sports NBA 2K7," plus other titles.

After a six-year hiatus, Tribe has played a handful of shows since 2004 and recorded one new song, but has yet to commence serious work on a new studio album.

Rhino will on Sept. 19 salute the three-album career of Electronic, a side project featuring New Order's Bernard Sumner and the Smiths' Johnny Marr. "Get the Message -- The Best of Electronic" features the single mix of "Disappointed," which reached the top 10 of both Billboard's Modern Rock and Hot Dance Music/Club Play charts.

Beyond other familiar cuts such as "Getting Away With It" and "For You," the album includes radio edits of "Vivid" and "Late at Night" from 2000's "Twisted Tenderness" and the B-sides "Imitation of Life" and "All That I Need."

India.Arie, Teena Marie, Anthony Hamilton, Gladys Knight, Charlie Wilson, the Original Manhattans, Harold Melvin's Blue Notes, Ras Mykkal and Maze featuring Frankie Beverly will perform at the 11th annual Bermuda Music Festival, to be held Oct. 4-7 at Bermuda's Royal Naval Dockyard. The event will be emceed by comedian Steve Harvey.
