Black Keys' Patrick Carney, Dhani Harrison and Jason Isbell lead lineup of performers
The folk music charity festival Dylan Fest has announced plans for a 13th consecutive New York showing, as well as its first ever stop in San Francisco.
On Nov. 11 and 12, Dylan Fest will take on New York City, where it has been an annual tradition since 2001. The festival will take place in the Bowery Ballroom, and host artists like the Black Keys' Patrick Carney, Grouplove, Dhani Harrison, Jason Isbell, and the Hold Steady's Craig Finn and Tad Kubler.
San Francisco's Dylan Fest is highlighted by Doyle Bramhall II, Sly & the Family Stone's Cynthia Robinson and Jerry Martini, Heartless Bastards' Erika Wennerstrom, and Elvis Perkins.
According to a press release, a "handful of very special surprise guest stars" can be expected for both festivals.
All performances for both fests will be backed by the Cabin Down Below Band, which features Alex Levy, Austin Scaggs, and Matt Romano.
Sponsored by Jameson, all proceeds from both festivals will go towards Sweet Relief and the Sweet Relief Musicians' Fund, which benefit professional musicians in need.
After Best Fest introduced Dylan Fest in 2001 to celebrate the legend's 60th birthday, it has gone on to present various spin-offs, such as Petty Fest and Stones Fest.
