Snoop Dogg, Buckethead and Charlie Daniels are among the varied guests contributing to funk legend Bootsy Collins' first holiday album, "Christmas Is 4-Ever." Due Oct. 31 via Shout! Factory, the album includes four Collins originals plus nine takes on such seasonal favorites as "The Christmas Song," "Winter Wonderland" and Donny Hathaway's "This Christmas."

Snoop raps on "Happy Holidaze," while Daniels plays fiddle and sings on "Sleigh Ride." The latter cut also features Ohio Players vocalist Sugarfoot. Elsewhere, Buckethead and the late Roger Troutman contribute holiday greetings, while funk veterans Fred Wesley, MC Danny Ray, Bobby Byrd, Bernie Worrell and Blackbyrd McKnight drop by to enliven the proceedings.
