As tipped here in July, the Killers will kick off a fall North American tour with an Oct. 6-7 stand in Los Angeles. The three-week jaunt will conclude in the band's hometown with an Oct. 28 appearance at the second Vegoose festival. A European outing will get underway shortly afterward.
Two gigs are on tap prior to October, including another Vegas show this Saturday (Aug. 26) and a set at the first American V Festival, to be held Sept. 23 in Baltimore.
The shows come in support of the Killers' sophomore album, "Sam's Town," due Oct. 3 via Island. First single "When You Were Young" is off to a great start at radio; the track is No. 5 this week on Billboard's Modern Rock chart and was the top debut at No. 29 on the Hot 100.
