John Mayer's Friday (Aug. 25) performance on NBC's "Today" will be available four days later via a new initiative with Apple's iTunes Music Store. The music will be bundled with behind-the-scenes footage under the header "NBC News on Stage," which launches Aug. 29 on iTunes.

At launch, "On Stage" will also include prior NBC interviews with such stars as the Rolling Stones, Madonna, U2, Johnny and June Carter Cash, Ray Charles and Judy Garland.

As for Mayer, his new album, "Continuum," arrives Sept. 12 via Columbia. His tour with Sheryl Crow next visits the Pittsburgh area on Thursday.

Tim McGraw will headline the Country Cruise Getaway, which will sail from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., to the Bahamas from Jan. 28-31. Tickets go on sale Aug. 28; additional artists will be added to the lineup. Beyond live performances, passengers will have the chance to interact with artists via Q&A sessions. A $20,000 Texas Hold 'Em poker tournament is also planned.

Jam band moe. will be supporting a pair of upcoming releases during a stint opening for the Who next month. "moe. Live from the Fillmore," the group's first DVD, will be released Oct. 3 and an as-yet-untitled full length album, their first in four years, will hit the streets Jan. 23, both via Fatboy Records.

The Who have tapped moe. for shows on Sept. 25 in Chicago, the following night in Des Moines, Iowa, Sept. 29 outside Detroit and the following night in London, Ontario.

Meanwhile, moe. will host and perform at its seventh annual moe.down concert weekend Sept. 1-3 at Turin, N.Y.'s Snow Ridge Ski Area. The event will feature artists like Mike Gordon and Ramble Dove, Ziggy Marley and Umphrey's McGee.
