Grammy Award-winning R&B crooner Miguel was arrested in Los Angeles early Thursday for driving under the influence. According to TMZ, the California Highway Patrol pulled over the singer's BMW for speeding and tinted windows, but soon noticed the smell of alcohol wafting from the car.
Miguel then failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .10 and .11 (over the .08 legal limit) on the breathalyzer, a law enforcement source tells the site.
The 27-year-old singer -- whose full name is Miguel Jontel Pimentel -- was arrested and booked for DUI, and released a few hours later on $5,000 bail. According to TMZ, Miguel is scheduled in court in September.
Miguel released his second studio album, "Kaleidoscope Dream," last September via RCA Records. The set debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and yielded the hit song "Adorn," which won Best R&B Song at the 2013 Grammy Awards.
