MGMT Return With ‘Your Life Is a Lie’ Video: Watch

MGMT has dropped an oddball video for their new song “Your Life Is a Lie”

The two-minute-long clip shows a fun side of the psychedelic group – but it won’t be to everyone’s taste.  It’s filled with coloful characters and eye-catching absurdities, and the lyrics are spelled-out literally like a twisted episode of Sesame Street.

There’s even a guest appearance from Henry Winkler, the “Happy Days” actor whose “Fonzie” character was a global icon in the ‘70s.

The clip is directed by Tom Kuntz, who worked on the band’s video for “Congratulations.”

“Your Life Is A Lie” is lifted from MGMT's upcoming third album, due this September, and is the first new music to get an airing since “Alien Days” arrived in April. The group, founded by Benjamin Goldwasser and Andrew Van Wyngarden, will hit the road in Europe from next month.
