"American Idol" contestant Phillip Phillips was hospitalized on Thursday, according to TMZ.
The site reported that the Top 13 finalist has had five procedures to deal with kidney stones, an issue for the guitar-playing singer since October.
But the 21-year-old Phillips reportedly hopes to continue with his "Idol" run and will postpone any further procedures -- assuming he survives Thursday night's results show, which will send one of the 13 finalists home.
Phillips turned in a rocked-out performance of Stevie Wonder's "Superstition," his "Idol" audition song, on Wednesday night's "Idol." Watch it below:
