The Honey Brothers' trippy new video for "Green & Gold" is one part "Twilight Zone," one part internet meme, with multiplying cats, angels on bicycles and champagne bottles poppin' over dollar signs. Watch below:
While the video is credited to editor and director Creationist Cat, the track is actually produced by Malcolm Burn (Emmylou Harris, Patty Smith), "Green & Gold" is the first track from the band's upcoming "Time Flies Like A Peach" album, dropping April 17.
"The record was fun to make and also a bitch to record," bassist Daniel Green said in a statement. "But it sounds less defensive about tackling big topics and themes than anything we've ever done."
In support of the band's new LP, the five Honey Brothers -- including "Entourage" actor and drummer/guitarist/vocalist Adrian Grenier -- will be heading out on tour in April, with more dates still to be announced.
List of announced tour dates:
April 19: New York, N.Y. (Bowery Ballroom)
April 21: Hoboken, N.J. (Maxwell's)
April 27: Philadelphia, Pa. (North Star)
April 28: Washington, D.C. (DC9)
