After slowing things down on the brilliantly sensual "Climax," Usher has previewed his forthcoming album "Looking For Myself" with "Scream," a Max Martin and Shellback-helmed club banger released on Thursday (Apr. 26). A rep for the R&B star confirms that the track will be worked as an official single from his seventh studio album.
Reminiscent of his 2010 hit "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love," "Scream" rides a slow-building beat and preaches the importance of tonight and the dismissal of tomorrow. However, the song is not without the sexuality of "Climax": "Imagine me whisper in your ear that I/Wanna take off all your clothes and put something on ya," Usher sings, before screaming his head off in the bridge.
"Looking For Myself" will be released on June 12 and include production from Rico Love, Jim Jonsin and Salaam Remi, among others. Diplo produced the first single, "Climax," which topped last week's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
Earlier this week, David Guetta revealed that he and Usher have been working on a follow-up to their smash single "Without You," which appeared on the French producer's "Nothing But the Beat" album. On Apr. 14, Usher was a surprise performer during Guetta's set at Coachella.
