"As you can imagine, shit is fkd up right now. But I wanna say thank you to all our friends and family (which are kinda one in the same) for all the love and support," he wrote.

The outpouring of grief and kind actions -- from Mets players using Beastie Boys as their walk-on music, to Red Hot Chili Peppers performing tributes in concert -- has not been lost on Horovitz, who along with Yauch and Michael Diamond (Mike D) comprised one of the most important hip-hop groups in history.

"I'm glad to know that all the love that Yauch has put out into the world is coming right back at him," he said in the web message.

Yauch died Friday (May 4) at age 47 after a three-year fight with cancer.
