Regina Spektor & Edward Sharpe Are Top 10 Bound on Billboard 200

Though John Mayer's "Born and Raised" album seems to be set for a second week atop the Billboard 200 next week, a couple new albums might break into the top 10.

The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of Wednesday, June 6.

Mayer's "Born and Raised" may sell somewhere in the range of 65,000 to 85,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on June 3 -- so say industry sources. That will likely be enough to fend off Adele's "21," which will probably come in at No. 2.

There might be a late-in-the-week sales surge for "21," however, as Adele will be the focus of an hour-long NBC special on Sunday night. The broadcast, titled "Adele Live in London," is her highest profile promotional appearance in the U.S. since the Feb. 12 Grammy Awards.

The biggest debut on the Billboard 200 next week will likely be Regina Spektor's "What We Saw From the Cheap Seats," as it could arrive in the top five with maybe 30,000 to 40,000. Spektor's last album, 2009's "Far," debuted and peaked at No. 3 with 50,000 sold in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros is on track for its first top 10 album as "Here" should start in the region next week. With a likely start of around 30,000, it will bypass the act's previous high-water mark, when "Up From Below" peaked at No. 76 in 2010.

On Nielsen SoundScan's Building chart (below), Mayer is No. 1 while Adele's "21" is sitting pretty at No. 2. The Building tally is a precursor to the final Billboard 200 ranking -- reflecting the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week as reported by six major merchants. Spektor is No. 3, One Direction's "Up All Night" is No. 4 and Sharpe is No. 5.

Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away" is at No. 6, followed by Luke Bryan's "Tailgates and Tanlines," the "Now 42" album and Lionel Richie's "Tuskegee" at Nos. 7-9, respectively. Rounding out the top 10 is Travis Porter's new "From Day 1."
