Lily Allen clutches her leopard print purse as she waits for the Issa Spring/Summer 2011 fashion show to begin at Somerset House during London Fashion week Sept.21.

Since the 2009 debut of her sophomore album, U.K. songstress Lily Allen has taken a break from music, gotten married, become a mother, and opened a clothing store. Rumors that Allen was recording in London's RAK Studios began circulating in April, but the singer has now confirmed that she is recording in the studio with one of her longtime collaborators.

Allen tweeted to a fan Wednesday (June 20), "You will be pleased to know that I am currently in the fucking studio with @GregKurstin," she wrote, in reference to the producer behind her latest release, 2009's "It's Not Me, It's You."

"No big deal really, I'm just throwing shit at the wall and seeing if anything sticks," she added, before tweeting out a "Greg Kurstin" Spotify playlist that consisted of her last album.

Although she continued touring for several months, the 27-year-old singer has been somewhat removed from the music scene since fall 2009, when she announced via her blog that she would not be renewing her recording contract with label EMI.
