British folk rockers Mumford & Sons have finally announced the details of their widely-anticipated fall U.S. tour. Dates begin Aug. 1 in Hoboken, NJ, and it will share the first leg of the tour with Mumford's "Gentlemen of the Road" Stopovers, which sold out quickly after being announced.
The band will most likely be playing material from their upcoming album, which, according to multi-instrumentalist Ben Lovett, is slated to land this fall. "We finished the record this week, so we are gonna be able to get it out in September," he said in an interview with Belgian radio station Studio Brussel. "We just figured that out - September 24th." Levett also told NME "If we listen back while we're mixing and discover it's shit, we'll just start again. We're not going to put it out until it's good enough."
A Sept. 24 release date has yet to be confirmed, but a rep for the group told Billboard.com, "It could be the date, but I think [Lovett] said that a bit prematurely."
Tour pre-sale begins Thursday, June 28, and general sale to the public begins Friday, June 29.
