Courtney Love wants to make sure Lana Del Rey knows what she's singing about.

After the young singer covered Nirvana's "Heart-Shaped Box" -- a track by Love's late husband Kurt Cobain's band, Nirvana -- Love tweeted at Del Rey.

"You do know the song is about my Vagina right? 'Throw down your umbilical noose so i can climb right back,' umm," Love tweeted. "On top of which some of the lyrics about my vagina I contributed. So umm next time you sing it, think about my vagina will you? lol xc."

"You are gorgeous and very talented, it was all in good humor love, it is true however bwahaa xc," she added later on Monday.

The 1993 track was the first single from Nirvana's "In Utero," landing at No. 1 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. Del Rey delivered her cover in Sydney, Australia, last week.
