Whitney Houston's Unreleased Song, 'Never Give Up,' Debuts: Listen

The late Whitney Houston's music career is due to be commemorated on a new greatest hits album, "I Will Always Love You - The Best of Whitney Houston." The RCA Records effort, described in a press release from the label as the "first ever, definitive single disc" hits package, will feature 18-songs and is due Nov. 13 in the U.S.

It includes all 11 of her Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles and all but one of her eight chart-toppers on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. (The only absent No. 1 R&B hit is "Heartbreak Hotel," featuring Faith Evans and Kelly Price.)

"I Will Always Love You - The Best of Whitney Houston," will be the diva's second greatest hits album released in America. It follows the 36-track "Whitney: The Greatest Hits," which was issued in 2000.

The new collection will also boast two previously unreleased recordings: a new version of "I Look To You" (featuring R. Kelly) and "Never Give Up."

"I Look to You" -- released to digital retailers yesterday (Sept. 25) -- is a virtual collaboration with its songwriter and producer R. Kelly, and uses an unheard vocal take from Houston. The song was initially released as the title track from Houston's final studio album in 2009. The original version reached No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 19 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

"Never Give Up" was written by Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox and Johnta Austin and produced by Dupri and Cox.

HSN is selling an exclusive version of the physical album, which includes a bonus disc with five duets: "Hold Me" (with Teddy Pendergrass); "If You Say My Eyes Are Beautiful" (with Jermaine Jackson); "I Know Him So Well" (with Cissy Houston); "It Isn't, It Wasn't, It Ain't Never Gonna Be" (with Aretha Franklin); and "Count on Me" (with CeCe Winans).

A CBS TV special is also in the works, says Clive Davis, Chief Creative Officer, Sony Music Entertainment Worldwide. During an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Sept. 25, Davis said the show will be taped on Oct. 11.
